IBC Discontinues a Priced-right Individual Plan Option for 2015
October 8, 2014
IBC announced late yesterday they will be changing their lineup of 2015 individual plans, one of the most striking changes is the removal of the PPO Silver Reserve Plan.
Customers who are enrolled in this plan will receive communications instructing them to contact their agent to select a new 2015 plan during the open enrollment period or they will renew into a comparable plan effective January 1, 2015. On-exchange customers who selected this plan in 2014 will be automatically renewed into the PPO Silver plan. Off-exchange customers will be defaulted into the PPO Bronze Reserve plan.
With a $3,000 deductible and 100% after the deductible was met at a very good price point, this plan was extremely popular. The plan was purchased by Individuals who wanted Personal Choice PPO convenience and who could afford or maybe who didn’t encounter the deductible. The default PPO Bronze Reserve with its higher deductible is NOT the best substitute plan…let us know if we can help you find an individual plan that will meet your needs.
